Mumbai College Student Arrested After Fatal Accident in Juhu, Two-Year-Old Dies from Head Injuries
Mumbai, 9th January 2025: In a tragic incident in Mumbai’s Juhu, a two-year-old girl, Vidhi Agrahari, succumbed to head injuries after a college student, Harshad Gaurav, 20, lost his balance while playfully chatting with a friend and fell on her. The incident occurred on January 2 when the girl was playing near her family’s shop, and Gaurav was chatting with his friend, Shahnawaz Ansari. Despite the girl’s mother’s request to move away from the child, the two ignored her and continued their playful interaction.
While joking around, Gaurav lost his footing and fell on the toddler, causing her serious head injuries. She was rushed to Cooper Hospital but passed away two days later. Following the incident, her father filed a complaint, resulting in an FIR being registered against Gaurav for causing death by negligence under Section 106 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
