Mumbai: Crime Branch Crackdown On Prostitution Racket; Two Uzbek Women Rescued

Andheri, 27th April 2023: Mumbai Police’s Crime Branch has busted a prostitution racket. The said racket was operating from a hotel in Mumbai’s Andheri area. Police raided the hotel on Monday and rescued two Uzbek women and arrested four suspects involved in the racket.

Acting on a tip-off received by the Crime Branch police, the police raided a hotel in Andheri East on Monday evening and rescued two Uzbek women.

Reportedly, the accused made fake Aadhar cards for both women to introduce them as citizens of India. They also took the passports of both women and demanded Rs two lakh to return them. The Crime Branch is conducting further investigation into this case.
