Mumbai: Four Arrested For Assault And Theft

Mumbai, 10th January 2023: The Crime Branch of the Railway Police arrested four persons who beat up a person and looted Rs 700 on the bridge of King’s Circle Railway Station on the Harbour Line.

The four persons assaulted the complainant while he was going home from the bridge at King’s Circle railway station around 12.30 pm on Sunday. They also stole Rs 700 from him and fled. A case was registered at Wadala Railway Police Station in this regard. Officers from Wadala Unit No 4 examined the CCTV footage of the area. Also, the railway police got information that the four who beat up the contractor would come again to King’s Circle.

The railway police laid a trap at the place on Monday at 6.30 pm and arrested the four. Saif Shaikh alias Monu, Mansoor Shaikh, Amir Ansari and a minor boy have been arrested in this case, and their accomplice Dhepya is being searched by the Railway Police. The case has been transferred to Wadala Railway Police Station for further investigation. Arshuddin Sheikh, a senior police inspector of the Lohmarg crime branch, informed that the crime was solved within 24 hours, and the accused were also arrested.
