Mumbai, 7th May 2023: The Konkan Board of Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has decided to hold a lottery for new houses on the occasion of Diwali. 621 of the Runwal Group project in Dombivli, 20 per cent of the comprehensive scheme in Vasai, Virar, Navi Mumbai, and Thane, as well as the remaining houses in the draw on 10th May, will be included in the Diwali draw.

Through the new lottery process, 4,654 houses of the Konkan division are being drawn. But many aspirants have been kept away from this draw as they could not submit the required documents in time. Hence, very few applications have been submitted for this draw.

But for those who could not apply or want to buy a rightful house in the Mumbai metropolitan region, the Konkan division has decided to hold a lottery in the coming Diwali.

According to a senior officer of the board, 621 houses in the Runwal group project in Gharivali and Usargaon area of Kalyan taluka near Dombivli will be made available to the board, while some more new houses in Vasai-Virar, Thane and Navi Mumbai under the 20 per cent of the scheme will also be made available.

Also, the houses in the division’s Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Thane district are going to be completed. The remaining houses in the 10th May draw will be included in the draw during Diwali.

621 houses in the Runwal group project in the Gharivali and Usargaon area of Kalyan taluka near Dombivli belong to minority groups. The area of these houses is 27 to 43 square meters i.e. 290 to 462 square feet. It has been claimed by the board that the prices of these houses will be fixed soon and these houses will be many times cheaper compared to the market price.
