Mumbai: One Thousand Litres Of Adulterated Milk Seized In Dharavi, Six People Arrested

Mumbai, 15th September 2022: Six persons were arrested by the Mumbai Police Crime Branch on Thursday for selling adulterated milk mixed with impure water, in bags of reputed milk companies. More than 1000 litres of adulterated milk were seized from the accused.

 

Police Inspector Nitin Patil and his team in charge of the Control Room of the Crime Branch received the information that packets of milk companies like Amul, Gokul, etc. were filled with water added in milk and being sold at Gopal Nagar near Sant Kabir Marg in Dharavi.

 

Accordingly, the police team raided the place on Thursday. Plastic bags filled with adulterated milk, candles, and other products were found in a house here. Police have seized 1,010 litres of milk from the place. After the Food and Drug Administration officials examined them, the police registered a case in Shahu Nagar police station and arrested six people.
