Mumbai Police Disprove Allegations Against Raveena Tandon’s Driver Through CCTV Footage
Mumbai, 3rd June 2024: Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon has addressed reports of an altercation in Mumbai, clarifying the circumstances surrounding the incident. On Saturday night, Tandon found herself in a confrontation while defending her driver, who was accused of hitting three women, including a senior citizen, with her car. However, CCTV footage disproved these allegations, prompting Tandon to share statements made by police officials investigating the matter.
A senior Mumbai Police official informed, “The complainant’s account in the alleged video was false. Upon reviewing CCTV footage, it was evident that Tandon’s driver was reversing the car into the society when the family crossed the lane. An argument ensued when the family confronted the driver about checking for pedestrians before reversing.”
The situation escalated, with Tandon arriving to support her driver. Despite efforts to diffuse the situation, verbal abuse ensued. Both parties filed complaints at Khar police station but later withdrew them, expressing no desire to pursue charges.
The official clarified, “No injuries were reported, and CCTV evidence confirmed the car did not strike anyone.”
Tandon took to Instagram Stories to refute the accusations against her. Additionally, a source provided context to, stating, “CCTV footage reveals that a group of women initiated the confrontation outside Tandon’s home, prompting her involvement to protect her driver.”
