Mumbai Police Issues Traffic Advisory Ahead of MNS Padwa Melava at Shivaji Park

Mumbai, 6th April 2024: Ahead of the Gudi Padwa rally organized by the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) on April 9 at Shivaji Park in Dadar (West), the Mumbai Police has issued a traffic advisory to ensure smooth management of the event. The advisory aims to address the anticipated influx of followers and supporters of the MNS, which is expected to result in heavy vehicular movement, particularly on the Western and Eastern Express highways and the roads leading to the rally venue.

To minimize congestion and ensure public safety, the following measures have been put in place:

1. No parking will be permitted along specified routes, including SVS Road, Keluskar Road, Lt. MB Raut Marg, Pandurang Naik Marg, Dadasaheb Rege Marg, Dilip Gupte Marg, and NC Kelkar Marg in Dadar.

2. Vehicular traffic will be regulated on key roads, including SVS Road and Lt. Dilip Gupte Marg, with alternative routes suggested to ease congestion.

3. Participants traveling from various areas are instructed to drop off at designated alightment points, such as Senapati Bapat Road, Dadar TT Circle, and Ravindranath Natya Mandir, before proceeding to designated parking areas.

For commuters:

– Western and Northern Suburbs: Participants arriving via the Western Express Highway are advised to drop off at Senapati Bapat Road and utilize designated parking areas such as Mahim Reti Bander and IndiaBulls Finance Centre.

– Eastern Suburbs: Those coming from Thane and Navi-Mumbai via the Eastern Express Highway should alight participants near Dadar TT Circle and park at locations such as Five Gardens and RAK 4 Roads.

– City and South Mumbai: Commuters from South Mumbai should utilize designated drop-off points at Ravindranath Natya Mandir and Dadar TT Circle, with parking available at India Bulls Finance Center and other specified areas.

These measures have been implemented to ensure the safety and convenience of all attendees and minimize disruption to public services during the Padwa Melava rally.
