Mumbai: Shreyas Talpade Suffers Heart Attack, Admitted in Hospital
Mumbai, 15th December 2023: Renowned actor Shreyas Talpade finds himself admitted to Belle Vue Hospital in Andheri West, Mumbai, following a heart attack incident. The 47-year-old, known for his roles in Hindi and Marathi films, underwent angioplasty and is reported to be in stable condition.
The incident occurred during the shooting of the upcoming film ‘Welcome to the Jungle,’ where Shreyas was actively involved in his role. A close source to the actor revealed the situation, stating, “Shreyas, 47, was shooting for ‘Welcome to the Jungle,’ and in the evening, he suffered a heart attack and underwent angioplasty. He is fine now.”
Shreyas Talpade, born on January 27, 1976, boasts an impressive filmography, with notable appearances in Iqbal (2005), Golmaal Returns (2008), Welcome to Sajjanpur (2008), Golmaal 3 (2010), Housefull 2 (2012), and Golmaal Again (2017). His versatility also extends to dubbing work, such as lending his voice to Allu Arjun in the Hindi version of Pushpa: The Rise (2021).
Currently, the actor is gearing up for his role in ‘Welcome to the Jungle,’ directed by Ahmed Khan. The star-studded cast includes Akshay Kumar, Disha Patani, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Raveena Tandon, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sanjay Dutt, Rajpal Yadav, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Mika Singh, Rahul Dev, Mukesh Tiwari, Sharib Hashmi, Inaamulhaq, Zakir Hussain, and Yashpal Sharma. The unfortunate incident brings to mind similar health scares within the industry, notably Sushmita Sen’s heart attack earlier this year. The 47-year-old actress, who also underwent angioplasty, shared her recovery journey with fans through an Instagram post, humorously noting, “I suffered a heart attack a couple of days back…Angioplasty is done…stent in place…and most importantly, my cardiologist reconfirmed ‘I do have a big heart.’” Such incidents highlight the importance of health awareness and care within the demanding entertainment industry.
