Mumbai: Suburban Services Diverted Due to Maintenance Mega Block on Central Railway

Mumbai, 12th May 2024: Central Railway’s maintenance works necessitate a mega block on its suburban sections, prompting service diversions and special train arrangements. Commuters are advised to anticipate delays on the Matunga-Mulund fast lines and explore alternative routes during this period of maintenance.

Scheduled for today, the mega block will occur on the Matunga-Mulund fast lines from 11:10 am to 3:10 pm. To accommodate this, Up fast line services departing Thane between 10:50 am and 3:08 pm will be rerouted onto the Up slow line at Mulund. These trains will make scheduled stops between Mulund and Matunga, before being redirected back to the Up fast line at Matunga station, resulting in a delay of approximately 15 minutes upon arrival at their destination.

Additionally, a block will be implemented on the Harbour line between Kurla and Vashi stations from 11:10 am to 4:10 pm. To facilitate passenger movement, special suburban trains will operate on the CSMT Mumbai – Kurla and Panvel – Vashi sections during this period. Harbour line commuters are permitted to travel between Thane and Vashi/Nerul stations from 10 am to 6 pm to mitigate the inconvenience caused by the block.
