Mumbai: Valuables Worth Rs 14 Lakh Stolen From Closed House

Mumbai, 7th December 2022: Unidentified burglars broke the lock of the door of a closed flat in a residential building in Kandivali and looted valuables worth around Rs 14 lakh from the house. The entire incident was caught on the CCTV camera. The Charkop police registered a case of burglary and have begun a search for the burglars.

 

Nandan Gajapati Rao (61) lived with his family on the fifth-floor flat of the Jyoti apartment in the Charkop area of Kandivali. He has been in Pune since last month. So their house is closed. Taking advantage of the same, on December 4, around 5-6 in the morning, three youths broke the lock of the door of their house and entered. They messed up all their belongings and ran away after looting the valuables from the cupboard. It includes cash, gold ornaments, and silverware.

 

Rao watched the footage from the CCTV camera of the house on his mobile and noticed that the house had been burglarized in the early hours of December 4. He immediately informed the officials of the society about the incident. After that, he came to Mumbai from Pune and informed the Charkop police about this. After he complained, the police registered a case of burglary and started an investigation. Police were given the footage from the CCTV camera, in which three youths were seen entering their house with masks on their faces, the police said.
