Mumbai’s ‘H’ West ward residents urged to use water judiciously as repair work expected to take 8-10 hours

Mumbai, 24th April 2023: Water supply in the ‘H’ West Ward at Sherley Rajan Road, Chimbai Village, Varoda Road, Manuel Gonzales Road area, Perry Road, Navin Kantwadi area was affected between 10 am to 2 pm today, after a 600 mm diameter inlet at Pali Hill Reservoir was damaged during Storm Water Drainage works at Water Field Road, Bandra (West).

According to the press release issued by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), repair work was carried out from 5.30 pm to 8.30 pm at Koliwada, Dandpada and Road No. 16 to 21 in Khar Danda. The water supply in the area will be restored after the completion of the repair work.

The repair work in the area near Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Road is expected to be completed by 9 pm to 12 am, after which the water supply will be restored. The repair work is expected to take about 8 to 10 hours, including dewatering, repair, and charging.

The BMC has requested citizens to cooperate with the administration and use water judiciously. The water supply will be restored as soon as the repair work is completed.
