Navi Mumbai Police Solve Murders of 70-Year-Old Woman and Son, Arrest Two 19-Year-Olds
Mumbai, 3rd January 2025: The Navi Mumbai police have successfully solved the murders of a 70-year-old woman and her 45-year-old son in Kamote, leading to the arrest of two 19-year-olds. Geeta Bhushan Jaggi and her son Jitendra were discovered dead in their home in Sector 6 on Wednesday evening, prompting an immediate investigation by local police and the Crime Branch.
The case was resolved in less than 24 hours after it was registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. According to officials, relatives who arrived at the home on the evening of January 1 found the door locked from the inside and received no response from the mother and son. They subsequently contacted the police.
When officers, along with fire brigade personnel, entered the house, they were met with the smell of LPG as the gas knob had been left on. The bodies of the mother and son were found in the bedroom, the official confirmed.
