NCB Dismantles Rs 200 Crore Drug Syndicate in Navi Mumbai, Arrests Four

Navi Mumbai, 7th February 2025: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has dismantled a drug syndicate, seizing a variety of banned substances valued at approximately ₹200 crore in Navi Mumbai and arresting four individuals, an official confirmed on Friday.
According to the Mumbai zonal unit of the NCB, the syndicate is being operated by individuals based overseas. Some of the confiscated drugs were smuggled from the United States through courier services, small cargo shipments, and human carriers.
The investigation began last month when officials intercepted a parcel containing 200 grams of cocaine intended for delivery to Australia. By tracing its origins, authorities uncovered the larger network operating out of Navi Mumbai.
During the crackdown last week, the NCB recovered 11.54 kg of high-purity cocaine, hydroponic marijuana, and 200 packets (5.5 kg) of cannabis-infused gummies, all collectively worth around ₹200 crore.
Four individuals linked to the operation have been taken into custody. The syndicate members used pseudonyms in their communications to conceal their activities. Efforts are currently underway to map the syndicate’s connections and identify additional accomplices, the official added.
