New Year’s Nightmare: Alliance Air Passengers Stranded and Outraged Over Mumbai to Goa Delays

Mumbai, 30th December 2023: Passengers scheduled to fly from Mumbai to Goa with Alliance Air were left stranded and distressed as multiple flights faced significant delays and cancellations on the afternoon of December 30th, Saturday. The initial delay of 4 to 5 hours for the Mumbai to Goa flight, flight number 9L-661, left travellers outraged, only to culminate in the eventual cancellation of the flight.

The airport witnessed heated altercations between irate passengers and airline staff, as travelers voiced their frustration over the lack of alternatives provided by Alliance Air. Many passengers had meticulously planned their New Year’s celebrations in Goa, booking accommodations and arranging various activities, all of which now hang in uncertainty due to the flight disruptions.

Dinesh Jadhav, one of the affected passengers, took to social media to express his heartbreaking ordeal. Jadhav shared his anguish, revealing that due to the flight’s failure to depart, he missed the opportunity to attend his mother’s funeral. He directed a poignant message to Alliance Air, expressing the immense impact their inconsistent service had on his personal tragedy.

Additionally, another passenger, who was scheduled to travel from Delhi to Guwahati with a connecting flight to Aizawl, lamented the lack of support and assistance from both Alliance Air and Air India Express after facing a delay of 4 hours. This unfortunate incident further highlighted the distressing experiences faced by air travellers relying on these airlines’ services.
