OPERATION GANGA – GO FIRST STEPS INTO EVACUATE STRANDED INDIAN CITIZENS FROM WAR-TORN UKRAINE

Mumbai, 4 March 2022: GO FIRST (formerly known as GoAir) today announced that it will assist the Government of India in evacuating Indians from war-torn Ukraine under Operation Ganga. The carrier yesterday flew its first evacuation flight to Budapest to bring home stranded Indian nationals.

The first flight departed from Delhi at 10:30 (Local Time) on March 3, 2022 and arrived at Budapest via Kuwait at 16:00 (LT). On the return, the evacuation flight from Budapest departed at 17:58 hrs (LT) and arrived with 177 passengers onboard the Airbus A320neo at New Delhi at 09:20 hrs (LT) today morning. GO FIRST will operate two flights per day till March 10, 2022 as part of the Operation Ganga mission. It will also endeavor to provide any additional flights as the Ministry of External affairs may require.
