Prostitution Racket Busted in Navi Mumbai: Woman Arrested for Operating Spa-based Illicit Business
Navi Mumbai, 24th February 2024: In a recent development in Navi Mumbai, a 40-year-old woman has been apprehended for operating a prostitution racket from a spa located in a mall in the Vashi area of Maharashtra. Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a sting operation at the spa, leading to the discovery of two young women, approximately 20 years old, who were being coerced into engaging in prostitution.
The woman responsible for compelling them into this illicit activity has been taken into police custody. The two victims have been safely relocated to a rescue home for their protection. The accused woman is now facing charges under sections 370 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code, along with violations of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act. The authorities are taking decisive action to address the situation and bring those involved to justice.
