Rail Ticket Booking in Mumbai to Stop for 3.5 Hours Late Night on March 12
Mumbai, 11 March 2026: The Passenger Reservation System (PRS) in Mumbai will remain temporarily shut for maintenance work from 11:45 pm on March 12 to 3:15 am on March 13, railway authorities said.
The shutdown has been scheduled to carry out disk de-fragmentation work, during which several reservation-related services will remain unavailable.
According to officials, the services affected during the maintenance window include the Passenger Reservation System, coaching refund, charting activities, train firing, IVRS, current reservation, chart display, touch screen facilities, refund counters and coaching refund terminals.
Railways said that internet booking for trains under the Mumbai PRS will also not be available during the scheduled shutdown period.
However, passengers will be able to file Ticket Deposit Receipts (TDRs) for refunds, which will be processed according to existing refund rules.
Railway authorities have requested passengers and rail users to bear with the inconvenience caused due to the maintenance work.
