Pune: Diamond Jewelery, Other Valuables Stolen From ‘Jito Connect’ Exhibition

Bibwewadi, 9th May 2022: Thieves had a field day at the recently concluded trade exhibition ‘Jito Connect 2022’ organized in the Bibwewadi area of Pune. Thieves have stolen Rs 5 lakh from four different stalls in the exhibition.

A case has been registered at Bibwewadi police station in this regard. The crime is being investigated on the basis of CCTV cameras installed in the exhibition.

Businessman Nilesh Parkh (47), resident of Dhankawadi, has lodged a complaint at Bibwewadi police station. Recently, a trade conference and exhibition ‘Jito Connect 2022’ was organized on Market Yard-Kondhwa Road in Pune. The exhibition concluded on Sunday.

Many traders had set up stalls in the exhibition. The thieves stole cash from the vault of Prateek Ranka, along with complainant Parkh, Prashant Lunawat. Thieves also stole cash from Yogesh Chuttar’s stall and two other stalls.

The thieves stole a total of Rs 4 lakh 55 thousand in cash, a bracelet and two mobile sets from the exhibition. The footage taken by the CCTV cameras in the exhibition has been taken into custody for investigation after a complaint was lodged with the police. The incident is being further investigated by Police Sub-Inspector Sanjay Adling.
