Sukesh Chandrasekhar Gave Gifts Worth Rs 5.4 Crores To Jacqueline Fernandez, ED Probes Further

Mumbai, 18th August 2022: Recently, words like ‘gold digger’ and ‘sugar daddy’ have been used multiple times when pictures of actress Jacqueline Fernandes with Sukesh Chandrashekhar went viral. Users used these two words indiscriminately. Although both these words are not new, due to being in discussion again, many people have rediscovered them.

When a woman comes into a relationship for someone’s property rather than love, she is called a gold digger. Meanwhile, the term sugar daddy is used for the relationship when a young girl gets into a relationship with a very rich old man. It is also said that this relationship is not formal, it is based only on each other’s needs. Once, China issued a warning to schoolgirls stating that they should not be misled by rich people.

Sri Lankan-born Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez’s troubles started rising when her pictures with thug Sukesh Chandrasekhar, accused in a money laundering case of Rs 200 crore, went viral. Chandrasekhar, who has been in jail since 2017, was out on bail last year. During this, the picture taken went viral on social media, after which Jacqueline was tightened by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

During ED’s interrogation, Fernandez stated that in October last year Chandrasekhar had gifted her an Arabian horse worth Rs 52 lakh and three Persian cats. The cost of one cat is about Rs 9 lakh. Apart from this, fifteen diamond earrings were also given. The actress told the ED, during the interrogation, that Chandrasekhar gave her diamond-studded earrings, a multi-coloured precious stone bracelet and two Hermes company bracelets.

The ED issued a statement on April 30 this year, stating that the thug Chandrasekhar gave gifts worth Rs 5.71 crore to the actress with money earned from criminal activities or extortion. Chandrasekhar used his colleague Pinky Irani to deliver gifts to Fernandez.

The ED widened the probe after pictures of Chandrasekhar went viral. Taking forward the money laundering probe, the ED attached the actress’s assets worth Rs 7.27 crore and Rs 15 lakh in cash.

According to the ED, Chandrasekhar also gave an amount of Rs 1.44 crore to the family of the actress. To take this money to the family, Chandrasekhar took the help of international hawala businessman Avtar Singh Kochhar.

The ED had also revealed, based on preliminary investigation, that Chandrasekhar had given Rs 15 lakh to a scriptwriter on behalf of Fernandez. The money was given for writing a web story for the actress. This amount was also attached by the ED.

Chandrasekhar also gifted a Mini Cooper car to Fernandez. However, the car was later returned by the actress to Chandrasekhar. The price of this car in India ranges from Rs 40 lakh to Rs 50 lakh. In the charge sheet filed by the ED in Chandrasekhar’s case, the ED said that Chandrasekhar had also given a BMW car to Fernandez’s mother and sister.

The ED said, in April this year, that Sukesh Chandrashekhar was in regular touch with Jacqueline Fernandez from February to August last year. Chandrasekhar was arrested by the Delhi Police on August 7 last year. The ED has arrested nine people including Chandrashekhar, his wife Leena Maria Paul, and Pinky Irani in this case.

The ED issued a lookout circular against Jacqueline Fernandez on December 5, 2021. After this, the actress, who was going from Mumbai to Muscat, was brought to Delhi for questioning. Earlier, Fernandez did not appear for questioning several times on the ED’s summons.
