Thane: Dummy Candidate Appears For Police Recruitment Written Exam; Arrested

Thane, 3rd April 2023: On Sunday (April 2), a case came to light where a dummy candidate was found appearing for a police recruitment written examination instead of the original candidate.

A case has been registered in Rabodi police station against bogus candidate Vikas Jaunwal and original candidate Balaji Kulsakar. The police have arrested Vikas and the process of taking action against Balaji has started.

According to sources, it has been revealed that Balaji was going to give Vikas Rs 20,000 to appear for the written exam.

The police recruitment process is currently going on at various places in the state. The written test of the candidates for the post of police constable was to be conducted at the Thane City Police Commissionerate on Sunday. Therefore, candidates from all over the state had come to Thane city to give the written examination.

Meanwhile, when the police team started checking the candidates at the examination center in Rabodi, one of the candidates was found with a mobile phone, smartwatch, Bluetooth, and electrical items required for communication.

When the police interrogated him thoroughly, it was found that his name was Vikas, a resident of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. It was then revealed that he was a dummy candidate who was going to appear for the examination instead of candidate Balaji Kusalkar, a resident of Beed. After this, the police took him into custody.

A case has been registered against both Vikas and Balaji at Rabodi police station and the police have arrested Vikas. The police informed that action has been started against Balaji. Balaji was going to pay Vikas Rs 20,000 for the written exam.

Balaji had paid Vikas an advance sum of Rs 10,000 and was going to pay the remaining amount after the examination.
