Thane: One Person Dead, Another Injured While Disembarking From Moving Train In Kalyan
Kalyan, 6th October 2023: A devastating accident unfolded at Kalyan Railway Station today as two passengers aboard the Deccan Queen Express, going from Pune to Mumbai, tragically got injured while attempting to disembark from the moving train. This disturbing incident resulted in the loss of one life and severe injuries to another.
The iconic Deccan-Queen Express made its scheduled stop at Kalyan Railway Station this morning, coming from Pune. It was during this moment that two passengers, in a bid to alight from the train, lost their control and fell onto the tracks below, leading to the death of one person and injuring another.
The deceased passenger has been identified as Fareed Ansari, while the other passenger is identified as Riyaz Ansari. It is estimated that both of these passengers are relatives of each other. However, the exact relationship between them has not been traced yet.
This incident unfolded at approximately 9:45 a.m. today when the Deccan Queen Express was passing through Kalyan Railway Station. Both passengers had originally intended to disembark at Karjat. However, the train did not make a scheduled stop there, prompting them to disembark at Kalyan Railway Station instead.
After falling from the train, nearby porters quickly rushed to the scene and promptly transported the injured passenger to Kalyan’s Rukmini Bai Hospital, where medical professionals are diligently working to stabilise Riyaz’s condition.
