Thane: 39-Year-Old Youth Apprehended By Mumbra Police For Illicit Selling Of Mephedrone

Mumbra, 6th October 2023: On Thursday night, the Mumbra Police successfully apprehended a 39-year-old youth who came to the Amritnagar area of Mumbra for selling illicit mephedrone (MD). The police have taken the accused into custody and are further interrogating him about the matter.

On the night of October 5, the Mumbra police got the tip-off that a man was coming into the Amritnagar area to allegedly sell a stash of mephedrone. Based on this information, the police team laid a trap in the area. During their watchout, police saw a suspicious car coming into the area. Apprehensive of its movement, the Mumbra Police intercepted and ferret around Shabbir’s car.

During their search, police found an illicit stash of 27 grams of MD powder in the car. Following the search, the police immediately detained Shabbir and took him into custody. A case has been registered against him at the Mumbra police station, and the police are investigating further into the incident.
