Thane: Rickshaw Thief Arrested From Sagarli Village
Thane, 7th January 2023: A rickshaw driver’s rickshaw was stolen from a field at Tukaram Nagar in Dombivli East during the night. After a case was registered at Ramnagar police station, the police arrested a thief from Sagarli village near Dombivli on Thursday (January 5) based on technical information.
Anand Mirjakar (63), who lives in the area next to Ravi Patil Maidan in Tukaram Nagar of Dombivli East, had parked his rickshaw on Sunday night. His rickshaw was stolen that night
Mirajkar lodged a complaint at the Ramnagar police station. Senior Police Inspector Sachin Sandbhor immediately ordered Assistant Police Inspector Yogshe Sanap to investigate. The police checked the CCTV cameras of the area from where the rickshaw was parked. They saw an individual stealing a rickshaw. The police reached Dombivli Gymkhana road after following the route of the thief. There they saw that the rickshaw was being taken to Sagarli village limits.
The police got information that the suspect is Mahesh Devadiga (35) and lives in Sagarli village. Assistant Police Inspector Sanap, Constables Vishal Wagh, Prashant Sarnaik, Dilip Koti, Shivaji Rathod, Nitin Sangle laid a trap in Sagarli and arrested him alongside the rickshaw.
