Thane: Sudden Fire Engulfs TMT Bus
Thane, 9th January 2023: A sudden fire broke out in a Thane Municipal Transport Service bus at Lokmanya Nagar on Monday evening. The fire was so fierce that the entire bus was gutted. A major accident was avoided as there was no one on this bus. Preliminary information is coming out that the bus was electric. After getting the information about the incident, Thane Municipal Fire Brigade extinguished the fire.
Lokmanyanagar has a bus depot for the municipal transport service. A bus halted at the depot caught fire suddenly around 5 pm on Monday. After the employees of the warehouse gave the information about the incident to the fire brigade, the personnel of the force entered the spot. They extinguished the fire, but the bus was severely damaged. The exact cause of the fire was not known.
