Thane: Tragic Accident Claims Life Of Father, Leaves Son Severely Injured
Thane, 10th October 2023: In a horrifying incident that unfolded on Sunday, a two-wheeler was tragically struck from behind by a speeding bus at Cadbury Junction, situated within the jurisdiction of Thane’s Rabodi police station. The accident resulted in the loss of one life as well as severe injuries to another.
The victim of this devastating accident has been identified as Mr. Rakesh Bangera, a 52-year-old resident of Thane. On Sunday afternoon, Bangera was commuting from Patlipada to Thane railway station with his son, Vishal, on his bike. At that time, a high-speed bus collided with their two-wheeler from behind.
The impact of the collision was catastrophic, claiming Mr. Bangera’s life instantly. His son, Vishal, who was also with him on the bike, sustained grave injuries in the incident. Vishal was swiftly admitted to a private hospital in Thane, where he is currently undergoing medical treatment.
In the wake of this heart-breaking accident, the city traffic police, along with the officers and personnel from Rabodi police station, took immediate action. They promptly transported Bangera’s body to the District Government Hospital in Thane for further proceedings.
Regarding the ongoing investigation, both the bus involved in the accident and the two-wheeler ridden by the victims have been impounded and are now under the custody of Rabodi Police Station.
