Two Arrested in Thane For Shooting Labour Contractor
Thane, 3rd January 2023: Thane Police arrested two persons on Tuesday in connection with the death of a labour contractor who was gunned down last month in Thane.
The victim was Ganesh Duryodhan Kokate (33), a labour contractor who was shot dead when he was travelling in his car near Kasheli arch on 8th December 2022. The police registered a case under IPC section 302 (murder) and Arms Act at Narpoli police station of Bhiwandi division.
The police arrested the two accused at Indira Nagar Naka around 9 am after laying a trap. The accused are natives of Sultanpur in Uttar Pradesh. One of the arrested accused is also involved in three other serious offences registered at Srinagar Police Station.
The victim was also attacked previously in September 2022, but he escaped. The police arrested four persons in connection with that shooting.
