Whale-Shaped Airbus Beluga Lands At Mumbai Airport, Fascinates Residents

Mumbai, 23rd November 2022: Airbus Beluga arrived at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA), which immediately attracted the attention of both passengers and airport workers due to its enormous size. The Airbus Beluga, sometimes referred to as the A300-600ST Super Transporter, provides a distinctive method for moving huge air cargo. These transport aircraft, which have been in service since the mid-1990s for the company’s industrial airlift requirements, are gradually being replaced by a fleet of six new BelugaXL models, according to the Airbus website.

The enormous plane was depicted in various images on the CSMIA official account, which stated that everyone was “awestruck” by it.

With its nose resembling a Beluga whale, it is one of the biggest cargo aircraft in existence. It provides clients with huge cargo transportation options for a range of industries, including the aerospace, energy, defence, maritime, and humanitarian sectors.

According to the Airbus website, the plane is 45 metres wide and 56 metres long.
