Woman Gives Birth on Local Train in Navi Mumbai, Miraculous Delivery Amidst Urgency
Navi Mumbai, 7th February 2024: In a remarkable turn of events, a 25-year-old woman, identified as Zakia Mehboob Syed from the Uran area, went into labour while aboard the Uran-Nerul local train in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. The incident occurred around 8:30 am on Tuesday as the train approached Nerul station. Senior Police Inspector Sambhaji Katare of the Government Railway Police confirmed the incident, highlighting the urgency of the situation.
Upon receiving the report, three women police constables sprang into action, promptly aiding in transporting Zakia to Meenatai Thackeray Hospital in Nerul via ambulance. At the hospital, Zakia successfully delivered a baby girl, with both mother and newborn reported to be in good health.
Expressing gratitude towards the railway police for their swift response and assistance during the ordeal, Zakia’s husband commended the efforts of the authorities in ensuring a safe delivery under challenging circumstances.
