Young Girl Dies In Leopard Attack At Aarey Colony
Mumbai, 24th October 2022: A one-and-a-half-year-old child was killed in a leopard attack at Aarey Colony area of Goregaon on Monday morning. After this attack, an atmosphere of terror has been created among the locals in the area. After getting information about the incident, the forest department officials and the police rushed to the spot.
Leopards roam widely in settlements and padas at Aarey Colony. Incidents of leopard attacks also occur occasionally. On Monday, at around 6.30 am, Akhilesh Lot’s one-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Itika, who lived in Unit No. 15 of Aare Dairy Colony, went missing.
After some time, the girl was found injured some distance from the house. She was immediately admitted to Seven Hills Hospital. However, the doctor declared her dead before the treatment. Due to the occurrence of such an accident on Diwali, mourning has spread in the Aare area. On the other hand, the increase in leopard attacks in Aarey Colony has created an atmosphere of terror among the locals in the area.
