Pune: Wanwadi Contractor’s Bungalow Robbed; Cash and Valuables Worth Rs 27.15 Lakh Looted

Wanwadi , 22nd July 2026: Panic gripped the Wanwadi area after three armed robbers allegedly broke into a contractor’s bungalow in the Parmar Park locality during the early hours of Tuesday and fled with cash and valuables worth ₹27.15 lakh.

According to the Wanwadi Police, the incident occurred at around 3 a.m. on July 21, when the accused gained entry into the bungalow by cutting through the iron grill of the rear door.

The complainant, a 65-year-old contractor, told police that the intruders entered the house while he and his family were asleep. The robbers allegedly threatened the family at weapon-point before searching the residence.

Police said the accused stole diamond-studded gold jewellery and ₹13.15 lakh in cash from a bedroom cupboard. They also allegedly snatched the gold ornaments worn by the contractor’s wife and mother-in-law before fleeing the scene.

The traumatised family immediately informed the police following the robbery.

A case has been registered against three unidentified accused at the Wanwadi Police Station. Senior police officials visited the crime scene and initiated an investigation.

Police have examined CCTV footage from the bungalow premises and surrounding areas. Multiple teams have been deployed to identify and trace the accused. Further investigation is underway.
