Pune: 12-Year-Old Boy Allegedly Sexually Abused and Blackmailed With Video; Three Arrested
Parvati, 22nd July 2026: A 12-year-old boy was allegedly sexually abused repeatedly over three months after the accused recorded a video of the assault and used it to threaten him.
Parvati police have registered a case and arrested three people: Karan Parshuram Bobde, 25; Omkar Anil Padwal, 24; and Harsh Balu Randive, 19. A fourth accused, aged 17, has been sent to a juvenile home.
According to the police, the incident began in April 2026, when the boy was playing cricket in a lane. The accused allegedly lured him to a public hall nearby, sexually assaulted him and recorded the act. They subsequently threatened to show the video to others and allegedly continued to sexually abuse him between April and June 2026.
The boy’s mother later noticed a significant change in his behaviour. He had become withdrawn, stopped speaking to family members and preferred to remain alone. Concerned by the sudden change, she spoke to him, and he disclosed the alleged abuse.
His mother then lodged a complaint at Parvati police station. Following the complaint, police registered a case, arrested the three adult accused and sent the minor accused to a juvenile home.
The arrested accused were produced before a court, which remanded them to police custody for two days. Investigators are examining their mobile phones and other digital evidence. Assistant Police Inspector Subhash Mahale is conducting further investigation.
