Pune: Mantra Zirconia Builder Fined Rs 1 Lakh for Dumping Construction Debris on PMC Plot in Keshavnagar
Mundhwa, 22nd July 2026: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has taken action against a builder for allegedly disposing of construction and demolition (C&D) waste on a municipal plot in Keshavnagar, imposing a penalty of ₹1 lakh for violating civic waste disposal norms.
The action was initiated by the Hadapsar-Manjari Regional Office after officials found construction debris dumped on land owned by the civic body. According to PMC officials, the dumping breached municipal regulations governing sanitation and the scientific disposal of construction waste.
The operation was carried out on the instructions of Assistant Municipal Commissioner Kunal Dhumal and under the supervision of Senior Health Inspectors Mangaldas Mane, Navnath Shelar, and Vikas More. Following the inspection, the civic administration issued a penalty notice and recovered a fine of ₹1,00,000 from the builder of the Mantra Zirconia project.
The enforcement team included Health Inspector Sushma Mundhe, along with Mukadam Ramesh Kamble and Pankaj Nanaware, who participated in the inspection and subsequent action.
PMC officials reiterated that the civic body is intensifying its crackdown on the unauthorised disposal of construction and demolition waste.
Developers, contractors, and transporters have been urged to ensure that such waste is transported only to authorised processing and disposal facilities, warning that violations will invite stringent penalties.
