Pune: Bavdhan Resident Falls Victim to Scam: Rs 3,32,995 Deceived in Fake OLX Furniture Purchase

Bavdhan, 4th March 2024: A case of fraud amounting to Rs 3,32,995 has been reported in Bavdhan, where a 56-year-old individual named Arun Hanumant Kulkarni was deceived on Sunday (3rd) under the guise of purchasing furniture from an OLX advertisement.

Kulkarni has filed a complaint with the Hinjawadi police, resulting in the registration of a case against an unidentified person associated with the mobile number 9241217622.

According to the police, the accused responded to Kulkarni’s OLX advertisement, intending to buy old furniture from his residence. Under the pretext of making the purchase, the fraudster systematically sent scanners and deducted a total of Rs 3,32,995 from Kulkarni’s account.

The Hinjawadi Police are investigating this matter further.
