Pune: Confrontation Turns Ugly in Moshi: Three Men Assault 17-Year-Old and Girlfriend After Honking Dispute
Moshi, 4th March 2024: An incident unfolded on Sunday (3rd) around 7:30 pm in Moshi on Dehu-Alandi road, where a 17-year-old boy named Sharman Norman Arlen, residing in Moshi, and his girlfriend were violently attacked after questioning a car’s incessant honking.
Sharman filed a complaint at the MIDC Bhosari Police Station, leading to the registration of a case against the individuals in a vehicle with license plate MH 14 GH 9090 and another four-wheeler.
According to the police report, Sharman had arrived on a two-wheeler to drop off his friend Pranav Patil and his girlfriend Riya Patil at Bharat Mata Chowk in Moshi. The confrontation began when a car behind Sharman’s bike honked loudly, prompting Sharman to seek an explanation from the driver. In response, three men from two cars attacked Sharman. The complaint further states that when Sharman’s friend Riya attempted to mediate, she too was assaulted and sustained injuries.
The MIDC Bhosari Police are investigating the matter further.
