Gurucharan Singh Shares First Mumbai Metro Experience After Return from Spiritual Journey

Mumbai, 1st October 2024: Gurucharan Singh, best known for his role as Roshan Singh Sodhi in the popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, recently took to Instagram to share his first experience on the Mumbai Metro. In a selfie video recorded inside the metro, Gurucharan offered viewers a look at one of the stations as he exited the train.

He excitedly said, “Friends, today I travelled in the Mumbai metro for the first time. It was so much fun. I can see Inorbit Mall behind me. I used to travel a lot on the Delhi metro, but this is my first time on the Mumbai metro.”

The actor had earlier made news after being missing for over a month. Upon his return, he revealed that he had gone on a spiritual journey. On July 16, Gurucharan also met Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah producer Asit Kumarr Modi, who spoke about their reunion. In an interview with ETimes TV, Asit Modi said, “To me, Sodhi is like family. He was with us for a long time, and even after leaving the show for personal reasons, he always found time to meet me whenever he was in Mumbai.”

He added, “I was worried about him because of what had recently happened, so I contacted him. He visited our office today, and we had a warm conversation. I wished him all the best for his future.”

Gurucharan Singh left Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah in 2020, with Balvinder Singh Suri taking over the role of Roshan Sodhi. There had been reports that the show’s creators were contemplating bringing back the original Sodhi, as the audience had not fully accepted the new portrayal.
