Navi Mumbai Police Arrest Food Delivery Worker and Farm Operator After Seizing Mephedrone Worth Rs 14.26 Lakh
Navi Mumbai, 30th September 2024: Navi Mumbai police apprehended a food delivery worker and a farmhouse operator after seizing mephedrone worth ₹14.26 lakh, officials reported on Sunday. The arrests occurred on Friday evening in the Ulwe area following a tip-off, leading to the discovery of 71.3 grams of the drug in two plastic bags.
An FIR has been registered against the suspects under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Authorities are currently investigating the source of the drugs and the intended buyers.
