Ganesh Naik, Kisan Kathore Display Unity Over Murbad Forest Department Issues

Mumbai,15th May 2025: In a significant political development, Maharashtra Forest Minister Ganesh Naik and Murbad MLA Kisan Kathore ,two senior BJP leaders from Thane district (long known for their rivalry( signaled a rapport in relations during a high-level meeting on Wednesday regarding forest department issues in the Murbad Assembly constituency.
Held at the Sahyadri Guest House in Mumbai, the meeting focused on stalled development projects in Murbad, including the Malshej Ghat area development, minor irrigation schemes, road concretization, and the proposed glass skywalk at Malshej. Naik, in a rare show of direct support, issued firm instructions to forest officials that no complaints from the Murbad constituency should reach him again, and directed them to resolve all pending matters immediately.
Naik’s stern remarks were widely viewed as a gesture of backing MLA Kathore, signaling a possible political reconciliation. When forest officials claimed there were “no issues” from their side, Naik demanded to know why files related to Kathore’s projects had been stalled for six months. The Chief Conservator of Forests, Thane, assured that the files would be cleared by Thursday, following which Naik ordered that he be personally informed once the work is done.
MLA Kathore later shared on social media that Naik had directed the department to ensure smooth execution of key projects in his constituency, confirming ministerial support for long-pending development works.
