Thieves Who Robbed Flower Seller In Dombivli Arrested From Trimurti Nagar Slum

Dombivli, 16th February 2023: A flower seller living in Golavali was robbed at knifepoint by four youths at Shelar Naka in Dombivli East on Monday night. A total amount of Rs 19,000 was looted by the thieves. A team from the Welfare Crime Branch arrested two thieves from the Trimurti Nagar slum on Patharli Nayak in Dombivli in this case.
One of the accused, Sarait, is a criminal on a police record. Police said the complainant, a florist, Devendra Rajbhar, lives in Golavali. He is in the business of selling flowers. At 10:30 on Monday night, he was eating pani puri while standing near a handcart near the Shiva temple at Shelar Naka in Dombivli East. At that time, four young men came near Devendra. They took Devendra by the throat. Asking him to be silent, they held his hands. A young man stabbed Devendra in the stomach. “If you make a sound, I will kill you,” he threatened. The flower seller and the pani puri seller were scared by this sudden incident. Other customers ran away. The three men robbed Devendra’s pocket of Rs 19,000 from the flower sale and other expenses.
Since Devendra knew the names of the thieves. He lodged a complaint at the Ramnagar police station. Under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Kishore Shirasath of Kalyan Crime Branch, Sub-Inspector Mohan Kalamkar, Sub-Inspector Navnath Kawde, Constables Anup Kamat, Balaji Shinde, Bapurao Jadhav, Vilas Kadu, Sachin Wankhede, and Goraksh Rokde laid a trap and caught two thieves. Police are looking for the two absconding thieves.
