Mumbai: RCF Police Apprehend Serial Phone Thief From Kurla Area

Chembur, 28th July 2023: Cases of snatching and stealing have been on the rise in Mumbai and the surrounding areas, causing distress among local citizens about the safety of their belongings while walking on the streets. In a significant breakthrough, the RCF police recently managed to apprehend a skilled phone thief who had been stealing the phones and purses of pedestrians walking on the road.
The incident that led to the arrest of the thief occurred on Monday night, when a 20-year-old resident of Chembur Camp, Shivam Tilare, was going to the market. While he was on his way to the market, an unknown person came from behind and snatched his phone, worth Rs 70 thousand. Tilare screamed and tried to chase the person, but he vanished into the crowd.
Tilare immediately reported the incident to the RCF Police Station. After that, the Assistant Police Inspector of RCF Police Station, Kiran Mandhare, ordered to check the footage of the CCTV cameras installed in the area. Upon the investigation, Mandhare found that the suspect was wandering in the Kurla area. Accordingly, the police conducted an investigation and arrested the 20-year-old accused, Tushar Nut, from the Kurla area.
