BMC Announces Change in Water Supply Timings for H West Zone on April 3

Mumbai, 28 March 2025: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced changes in water supply timings for areas in the H West zone, including Khardanda, Bazar, and Dr. Ambedkar Marg, on April 3, 2025. The changes are due to work on commissioning a newly laid 750 mm diameter main water pipe for the Pali Hill reservoir. The work will take place from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm (15 hours).
According to the BMC, the water supply in affected areas will be adjusted as follows:
1. Market Area: Water supply will begin 30 minutes earlier than usual. Revised timings are from 5:30 am to 9:00 am instead of the regular 6:00 am to 9:30 am.
2. Khardanda Area: Areas including Khardanda Koliwada, Dandpada, Chuim village, parts of Gajdarbandh slum, and some areas of Khar West will receive water at relatively low pressure. There is no change in timings, remaining from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
3. Dr. Ambedkar Marg Area: Water supply will be delayed by two hours. Revised timings are from 12:00 am to 3:00 am instead of the usual 10:00 pm to 1:00 am.
The BMC has urged residents to store water as a precaution and advised boiling and filtering water for four to five days following the change. Citizens are requested to use water sparingly during the adjustment period.
The BMC administration has appealed for cooperation from residents during the water supply modification.
