Deadline Extended: Mumbai University Allows 3-Day Extension for Degree Course Registration
Mumbai, 12th June 2023: The University of Mumbai has extended the deadline for pre-admission online registration for first-year degree courses in affiliated colleges and educational institutes. Students now have an additional three days to register on the official website of Mumbai University, with the new deadline set for 15th June at 1 pm.
As of now, a remarkable 210,482 students have already completed their online registration for admission, while the university has received a total of 566,442 applications for various courses.
Following the announcement of the first merit list for degree admission on Monday, 19th June at 11 am, students will have the opportunity to review the documents along with the guaranteed application online and make the fee payment from 20th to 27th June (until 3 pm). The second merit list will be published on Wednesday, 28th June at 7 pm, and the online document verification, fee payment, and guaranteed application process will be open from 30th June to 5th July (until 3 pm). Subsequently, the third merit list for degree admission will be released on Thursday, 6th July at 11 am. The scrutiny of online documents, along with the guaranteed application and fee payment, will be mandatory from 7th to 10th July.
The University of Mumbai emphasizes that all admissions and educational activities for various courses in the first year of the degree program will strictly adhere to the provisions and guidelines set by the Government of Maharashtra, University of Mumbai, and University Grants Commission. These regulations are in accordance with the “National Education Policy – 2020.” The university administration has made it clear that affiliated and autonomous colleges must adhere to the rules of the admission process and admit students only based on the sanctioned seats.
