Determine to make Maharashtra free from farmers’ suicide: Chief Minister Eknath Shinde

Mumbai, 4th July 2022: The state government is determined to make Maharashtra free from farmers’ suicide. The decision to reduce value-added tax (VAT) on design and petrol will be taken soon, said Chief Minister Mr Eknath Shinde. He was speaking after winning the vote of trust in the state assembly.

 

Rs 21 crore for the development of Hirkani

Chief minister Mr Shinde said that rupees 21 crores will be given for the overall development of Hirkani village situated in the footsteps of Raigad. He said that the funds will be utilized for various developmental works in this village.

 

Speaking further he said that the union government had cut down the prices of fuel in the recent past and on the same line, the state will also make a decision soon for reducing the value-added tax VAT on fuel in the state.

 

The chief minister also said that decisions in the interest of the common people will be taken in the near future. He said that more employment opportunities are generated because of the construction of the Samruddhi highway by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC), adding that this will boost the development of the state. He also assured that the central government will be followed up by giving a fillip to the Mumbai Metro project and completing it as early as possible.

 

He said that the state government will give priority to the completion of the metro project. He also said that the construction work of all the pending development projects in the state will gain momentum and assured that no one-sided decision will be taken by the government and it will strive to make decisions in the interest of all.
