Ex MLA Zeeshan Siddiqui Receives Death Threats, Mumbai Police Tighten Security

Mumbai, 22nd April 2025: Former MLA Zeeshan Siddiqui has received death threats via email, days after the death of his father, ex-NCP minister Baba Siddiqui. The threatening emails, are sent in the name of a group called “D Company,” demanding a ransom of ₹10 crore and warned of a fate similar to his father’s.

According to police sources, Zeeshan received the first threatening email two days ago, followed by another one stating that a reminder would be sent six hours later. Stating “You will be killed just like your father.” After receiving the emails, a police team reached Zeeshan’s residence and recorded his statement. Security has been significantly increased around him in response to the threat.

Baba Siddiqui’s death had raised suspicions of foul play, with reports suggesting it was a planned assassination. Now, the threat to his son has triggered serious concern among political circles and law enforcement agencies.

Police are investigating the origin of the emails and are working with cybercrime experts to trace the source and arrest those behind the threats.
