Lavani Samradhni, Sulochana Chavan Passes Away Aged 92 In Mumbai
Mumbai, 10th December 2022: Sulochana Chavan, a legendary singer, and Lavani samradhni, passed away aged 92 today (December 10) in Mumbai. She died as a result of age-related complications.
According to several media sources, the singer passed away at her home in Fanaswadi, Girgaum, at 12 o’clock.
The acclaimed singer is well-known for her well-liked Lavani songs, including Padarawarti Jartaricha and Tuzhya Usala Laagal Kolha.
She also produced albums and recorded songs for Hindi movies such as Mousam Aayaa Hai Rangeen, Ulfat Jisay Kehtay Hai, and Chori Chori Aag Si Dil Mein Lagake.
In March 2022, Sulochana Chavan received the Padma Shri award. She also holds the title of “Lavanisamradhni” (Queen of Lavani) in recognition of her vocal contribution to the field of art.
She was also given the 2010 Lata Mangeshkar Award, which was established by the Maharashtra government.
