Man From Mumbai Arrested In Baner For Selling Drugs

Mumbai-Pune, 21st February 2023: A young man who came from Mumbai to sell drugs was caught by the anti-narcotics squad in the Baner area. 20 grams of mephedrone worth Rs four lakh, three mobile sets, motor worth Rs 7,84,000 were seized from him.

The arrested person has been identified as Asif Ali Aleemuddin Shaikh (26), a resident of Kurla, Mumbai. The Baner area was being patrolled by the anti-narcotics squad. Police personnel Sahil Sheikh and Azim Sheikh got information that Shaikh was coming to sell drugs. Asif Ali Sheikh was caught in a trap. Items worth Rs 7.84 lakh, including Mephedrone, three mobile sets, and a motor were seized from him.

The action was taken by Additional Commissioner of Police Ramnath Pokle, Deputy Commissioner Amol Zende, Assistant Commissioner Narayan Shirgaonkar, Senior Police Inspector Sunil Thopte, Sub-Inspector Digambar Chavan, Santosh Deshpande, Sahil Sheikh, Azim Sheikh, Sandeep Jadhav, Sandeep Jadhav, Yogesh Mandhare, Dinesh Bastewad, Disha Khewalkar, and others.
