Mumbai: Central Railway Express Trains To Halt At 15 Coaches Instead Of 12

Mumbai, 20th February 2023: A big and important update has been made for passengers travelling on Central Railway Fast Trains. As per the received information, from today, 20th February 2023, express trains on Central Railway will stop at 15 coaches instead of 12 coaches.

According to the information received, the 12-coach train in the up and down direction of the express train, which used to stop at the first platform, will now stop at the place where the 15-coach train stops. That is, in the next round of 12 coaches, the motor man coach will now go three coaches ahead and stop where the 15-coach motor man coach was stopping. These changes will be applicable for passengers travelling from Kalyan, Dombivali, Diva, Thane, Mulund, Bhadump, Ghatkopar, Kurla, Dadar, and Byculla stations.

Meanwhile, these new changes have been implemented in what is considered to be the busiest station on the Central Railway line. Given the crowd at these stations, passengers often demanded that the Central Railway make the Sarab local trains 15 coaches instead of 12. There are still some 15-coach trains on this route. Especially the passengers going to Karjat-Kasara for a long distance have to suffer from heavy congestion due to this. At present, Central Railway has changed the position of the 12-coach train, but no decision has been taken to convert all trains to 15-coach.
