Mega Block Tomorrow On Central Railway; Local Trains On The Harbour Cancelled On Sunday

Mumbai, 9th July 2022: A mega block will be taken up on Central Railway on Sunday, July 10 for various engineering works including repair of signals and overhead wires. There will be blocks on both the Matunga-Mulund slow route and on both the routes between Panvel-Vashi on the harbour.

 

The mega block between Matunga and Mulund from 11.05 am to 4.05 pm will delay local rounds. Local rounds on the harbour have been cancelled and only special rounds will be run. On the Western Railway, however, there is no mega block on Sunday.

 

During this period, the slower local train departing from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) from 10.14 am to 3.32 pm will be diverted to the faster route between Matunga and Mulund stations. Trains will stop at Sion, Kurla, Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup and Mulund on slower routes from Mulund again. These services will arrive at the destination 15 minutes later than the scheduled time.

 

From Thane, from 10.58 am to 3.59 pm local trains on slower routes will be diverted to faster routes between Mulund and Matunga. Locals will stop at Mulund, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar, Kurla and Sion.

 

Megablocks will be taken on both routes from Panvel to Vashi on the harbour. Local trains on the Up Harbor route from Panvel to CSMT from 10.33 am to 3.49 pm and on the Down Harbor route from CSMT to Panvel, Belapur from 9.45 am to 3.12 pm will be cancelled.

 

Local services on the Up Transharbour route from Panvel to Thane from 11.02 am to 3.53 pm and on the Down Transharbour route from Thane from 10.01 am to 3.20 pm will be closed.

 

During the block period, special local between CSMT-Vashi, on Transharbor between Thane-Vashi, Nerul stations, besides Belapur, Nerul-Kharkopar local will also continue.
