Megablock On Central Railway On Christmas Day And Ever

Mumbai, 24th December 2022: For various mechanical works, a mega block will be taken up on Central Railway on both slow lines between CSMT-Vidyavihar and Harbor and between Wadala Road-Mankhurd stations on Sunday. So, the locals on this route will run with delay. Since Sunday is a weekly holiday and Christmas, the number of people travelling on that day is also likely to be more. Therefore, local trains on Central Railway are likely to be overcrowded. Night block will be conducted on Western Railway on Saturday. The block will be on both express lines between Mumbai and Central Mahim.

On Sunday between CSMT-Vidyavihar, there is a mega block on both slow lines from 10.55 am to 3.55 pm. Therefore, between CSMT and Ghatkopar, local slow routes will be operated on the express route. Between these two stations, local trains have been halted at Byculla, Parel, Dadar, Matunga, Shiv, and Kurla stations.

There is a Megablock at Harbor between Wadala-Mankhurd on both routes from 11 am to 4 pm. Therefore, local trips between CSMT to Panvel, Belapur, and Vashi have been cancelled during the block period. Central Railway informed that the local schedule between CSMT-Bandra, and Goregaon will not be affected. Special local trains will be operated between Panvel-Mankhurd.

On Western Railway, there is a mega block between Mumbai Central-Mahim on both fast lines from 12:00 PM on 24th December to 4:00 AM on 25 December. Therefore, between Mumbai Central-Mahim stations and between Andheri-Santacruz locals will run on a slow route. However, there is no mega block on Western Railway on Sunday.
