Mumbai: 4-Year-Old Boy Dies After Allegedly Being Kicked by Mother’s Partner for Wetting Pants
Mumbai, 31st October 2024: A 4-year-old boy tragically passed away after allegedly being kicked by his mother’s partner for wetting his pants in her absence on Saturday. The Nehru Nagar Police have arrested 19-year-old Riteshkumar Chandravanshi on charges of murder.
According to police, the boy’s mother, who works as a cook, lodged a complaint detailing her relationship history. She has two children with her estranged husband, who resides in Bihar. Following frequent conflicts, they separated, and in May, she began a relationship with the accused. The couple moved into a rented room in Nehru Nagar slums.
On October 26, the mother returned home to find her son crying and complaining of stomach pain, telling her that Riteshkumar had kicked him. The boy was admitted to Sion Hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries later that evening. It was later revealed that Riteshkumar allegedly kicked the child after he wet his pants, causing internal injuries that proved fatal. Riteshkumar has since been taken into custody.
