Mumbai Airport Receives Call Regarding Terrorist Attack

Mumbai, 7th February 2023: The Sahar Police has registered a case against an unknown person for creating terror by threatening and warning over the phone at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai on Monday. A call was received at the airport, where the caller made statements regarding attacks and terrorists. Due to this, the system at the airport was alerted. An immediate check was carried out at the airport. But no suspicious matter was found in the inspection mission. Sources said that the Sahar Police registered a case under Section 505 (1) against an unknown person for trying to create fear.

Earlier too, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) had received a similar suspicious e-mail. But the inspection did not find anything. On Thursday, the NIA received an e-mail that people associated with the Taliban were planning to attack Mumbai. On investigation, it was found that he was from Pakistan. Earlier, the control room of Mumbai Traffic Police had received a message from an unknown number. The message was sent from a mobile number in Somalia. In it, instructions were given to take precautions in line with the terrorist incidents that happened in their country. A person in Santa Cruz received a video call of an assassination threat. Such incidents are putting stress on the security systems.
